High School
High School can be the greatest time of your life, it can also be horrible or just another day. Sometimes it can be all three in the same day and that is when you really want an outlet. Which is why we are here, to provide environments that help you better see how God is involved in your life and how God wants you to journey with him through your life.
Life as a high school student is stressful and the last thing we want to do is stress you out more. So when you come to an event, a program, or a small group it is our goal to provide a relaxed environment where you will find people who genuinely care about you and want to listen.

- Refuge
- Refuge is the main program for high school students and it meets every Sunday evening from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. Attending this program for the first time can be stressful so here is an idea of what we do at Refuge.
- 7:00-7:30 – Hang out/Rec. time :: sometimes we play dodgeball, ultimate Frisbee, 21 Tip in, and sometimes we just hang out and eat some chips and drink some soda.
- 7:30-8:00 – Lesson :: this is where Andy or another leader will present some material that will make you think about God, your relationship with Him, and your understanding of Him.
- 8:00-8:30 – Discussion :: a time where we break into small groups of students and discuss the lesson that was presented.
- R-Groups
- R-Groups (small groups) are environments where students can come together with some of their closest friends and talk about their journey with Christ. They exist so students can have close relationships with mature adults, who are not their parents, who are willing to be there for them as they grow in their relationship with God. Another intent is for relationships to develop between students so they can help support each other as they go through high school.
We currently have a high school girls group that meets on Tuesday afternoons. For more information about this group please contact andy
- Events
At any given moment there are various events going on around BCC where students can be involved. These range from service projects, playing disc golf, playing video games, going on a ski trip, or attending an overnighter. |
