WHAT TO EXPECT...

Welcome to Bridgetown

Weekends at Bridgetown are designed to introduce people to the Christian journey and encourage believers to grow in their relationship with Jesus. We recognize that people ultimately experience God in unique ways. So, we offer two weekend opportunities:

  • 9:30am Service If you enjoy a more traditional feel, this might be for you. It takes a mostly traditional approach to the music.

  • 11:00am Service If you enjoy a more modern feel, this might be for you. It takes a mostly contemporary approach to the music.

At each service you will have the opportunity to participate in all of the following:

Musical Worship: There will be a time of music which we believe to be one way to offer worship to God.  You are invited to participate by singing, clapping, or any other posture of worship that suits you.

Offering:  We believe God calls his followers to give to the church.  First a tithe of 10% is expected on a regular basis.  Gifts that are over and above a tithe are considered offerings.

Message:  We believe the Word of God, the Bible, has the power to change lives.  Weekly we will focus on a specific passage and how it applies to our lives today.

Reflection and Communion:  This time is set aside for prayer and meditation.  All believers are invited to participate.  You may partake of the bread and the cup, then place the cup in the holder in front of you.

Baptism: You may witness a baptism.  We believe this event is part of a person’s decision to commit his/her life to Christ (Acts 2:38, 39).  Immersion is the occasion at which, through faith, a person comes in contact with the death and resurrection of Christ (Romans 6:1-4; Colossians 2:9-12).

For Those with Children:  Jesus set an example for us when He welcomed children to come to Him, so we have prepared a special place for children at Bridgetown.  Please consider allowing your children to participate in our nursery and children’s programs.  We offer care for infants and toddlers under age two at both 9:30 and 11:00am.  K-Zone classes are offered for all ages of children through grade 5 at 11:00am.  A middle school class for those in grades 6 through 8 meets in the library at 11:00am.

K-Zone Family Room:  The K-Zone Family Room is available downstairs.  It offers a comfy couch for feeding, toys to play with, changing facilities, and a live video feed of the church service.  Check-In is not required.
