What is E-Gift?
E-Gift is a way for people to prioritize God in their financial life, grow in their faith, and learn to trust God. It is a completely voluntary and secure way to electronically give to Bridgetown directly out of your bank account, avoiding the hassle of putting cash or checks in the offering each week.
Does this really honor God?
Many people feel that if giving isn't done in the midst of a worship service then it somehow is insignificant. The Bible never says that one must place their gift in a plate passed only on Sunday mornings. The primary principle of giving is found in 2 Corinthians 9:7, which says, " Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver ." The joy of giving comes from the faithfulness of people offering back to God some of the resources with which He has blessed them. The method of giving is an individual choice. The ease and consistency of using E-Gift may help you meet your personal giving goals.
Is there a minimum amount I need to contribute?
No. You can designate any amount to be given via E-Gift.
Do I have to have an account with a particular bank?
No. E-Gift will work with any bank account located in the United States. E-Gift will also work with your bank card as well.
How do i participate?
You can follow the E-Gift link located in the sidebar or click here to sign up online.
Do I have to give on a recurring basis with E-Gift?
No. The frequency of your giving is your personal choice. You can choose to give a one-time gift or choose to give on a recurring basis suitable for your personal goals.
How secure is E-Gift?
All information regarding transactions are securely processed through a fully PCI-compliant payment gateway. Check out www.pcisecuritystandards.org/tech/index.htm for more information.
What if i change my mind?
You can cancel your participation or edit the amount of your contribution at any time by contacting Bridgetown. Keep in mind these changes may take a few business days to process.
Can i still give more on special occasions?
After you sign up you are always free to make a one time E-Gift gift in excess of your current contributions. For some this is done as part of their year-end tax planning. In addition to online giving, your contribution can be placed in the regular offering or mailed to Bridgetown.
What is in it for Bridgetown?
Our primary motivation is to provide an easy solution for people who are wanting to give to Bridgetown electronically and honor God with their financial life. The benefits to Bridgetown are found in shortening the time it takes to process one's giving following our worship services. With E-Gift this is done automatically and a receipt of your gift is sent to you via email for your records and tax purposes. E-Gift also allows Bridgetown to have a more predictable cash-flow, which helps assist in budgetary planning. While the use of E-Gift is beneficial to Bridgetown in several areas, its main purpose is to make it easier for those who regularly give.
